In Loving Memory of Michael Jones
January 1, 1960 – January 1, 2025
Michael David Jones, age 65, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Michael was known for his quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep commitment to those he loved.
Born and raised in Ellis County, Michael graduated from Waxahachie High School and spent over 30 years working as a skilled craftsman and mentor to many. He was the type of man who led by example — never seeking attention, but always showing up when it mattered most.
Michael had a passion for woodworking, grilling in the backyard, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys — even when they let him down. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Paw Paw.”
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; his two children, Rachel and Mark; four grandchildren; and a legacy of love, humility, and integrity that will carry on through every life he touched.
A private graveside service was held with close family. His memory will live on through this page, where stories, messages, and photos can continue to be shared by those who knew and loved him.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
