At Blue Shield Memorial Care, our mission is grounded in one core belief: every resting place deserves to be preserved with dignity, care, and professionalism. We provide headstone and grave marker cleaning with a preservation-first approach that honors both the past and the families who entrust us with it.

Our work is guided by a commitment to ethical, respectful service and adherence to nationally recognized preservation standards.

1. Preservation Over Appearance

We do not chase instant results or “before-and-after” marketing. Although there are often times the headstone does provide some before and after satisfaction, that is not the ultimate goal. Our methods are designed to safely preserve headstones for future generations, not strip away their history for short-term visual impact.

We strictly follow the cleaning guidelines outlined by the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) and the Texas Historical Commission (THC). This includes:

  • No pressure washers, bleach, or acid-based products

  • Only approved biological cleaners, soft-bristle tools, and hand-scrubbing techniques

  • A patient, methodical approach with long-term integrity in mind

2. Respect for the Deceased and Their Families

We believe every headstone is more than a name — it’s a story. We approach each site with reverence, always treating the space and the family’s wishes with the utmost care. Whether we’re performing a one-time cleaning or providing ongoing maintenance, we treat every resting place as sacred ground.

3. Professionalism and Transparency

We operate with clarity and integrity. Every client receives clear communication, confirmed pricing, and optional upgrades. There are no surprises. We offer honest assessments, realistic timelines, and we never upsell or overpromise. We do offer a variety of services, we do not pressure you into buying them.

4. Ongoing Stewardship

We’re not a one-and-done cleaning service. For families who choose continued care, we offer monthly preservation visits, seasonal add-ons, and one free tribute page update per year for those who choose to build a digital memorial with us.
